  1. Mrs. Mitchell, I literally just finished your book, “Paranormal Intruder.” I wanted you to know that when reading your book, I felt like crying, at times I giggled, but most of all, felt compelled to keep reading your story. I have so many questions for you, but it would be uncouth of me to ask them. I know your story will never leave me, and you and your beautiful, brave family will forever be in my heart.

    1. Sarah, thank you for your lovely heartfelt message, it has really touched me and I appreciate it more than you know. I have a Q & A page on this site with lots of answers to questions, but I’m always happy to take more, as I know from experience the paranormal can raise many questions. We are still looking for answers, but are very grateful that for now, we are living in peace. I am very happy you enjoyed our true story and thank you for taking the time to get in touch.

  2. Hi Caroline. I just wanted to let you know that I have just finished reading “Paranormal Intruder” and I found it fascinating. I have always been someone that sits on the fence in regard to the paranormal and your book really opened my eyes to the possibility that some paranormal stories might actually be true. I must admit that some parts of your story sounded so far-fetched (not an insult to you, I promise) but the fact that other witnesses attested to them adds credence to the incidents (i.e. pebbles raining down on your house, the dripping on urine onto the floor, the incidents in the pub etc). I still plan on listening to some of the podcasts in the “evidence” section of this page, but at the risk of sounding like a ninny, I’m scared. I really wish that people like Mike would share more of the “evidence” that they collect as it could help people like me who have historically been sceptics. By the way, have you shared a copy of the photo of the prints going up your stairs? Is that photo on your website? Many thanks for sharing your story, it has really opened my eyes. 1. Hi Kim and thanks for getting in touch. I’m glad you found it interesting, and pleased we have given you lots to think about. I totally understand that it’s a lot to take in, and if I hadn’t seen/heard/smelt/felt it with my own eyes I’m not sure I would have believed it either. Yes our photos are on our Pinterest page, which is here https://www.pinterest.com/Caroline_writes/paranormal-intruder/ We would love Mike to release some of the evidence, as there is so much of it. He has told us he is writing a book on our case, hopefully it will be released at the same time. Thanks again for getting in touch, we love to hear from our readers.

  5. Hi Caroline, just finished Paranormal Intruder which I found fascinating and well written. You and your family have been so brave going through all that torment. I feel the church or someone should have helped you sooner, they should have seen how desperate the situation was.
I hope all is well now and you and your family can live a normal and happy life. Best wishes Anne.

    1. Thanks so much Anne for getting in touch, and I’m glad you enjoyed our story. Thankfully things are under control at the moment, and we are very grateful for all the support we have received. It was frustrating at the time, but we’re glad help came in the end.

  6. Hi Caroline, really enjoyed the book. It would make a good film. Hope this is is possibility. Some of the of sceptical issues that stood out for me were not a lot of the securing and preserving evidence thing took place for such a large amount of described activity. Perhaps a little sample of the straw coloured liquid to pay for analysing . Been physically sick out of fear for your family but then playing pub games seemed a little contradictory. Was any of the CCTV preserved / captured. Any thoughts given to the local university or some scientific body doing a little reasearch first before calling in those already sold that dead people or demons are responsible for the events .as the first conclusion. Found it a little odd that you brought a colleague round to witness some activity the first time despite not even been bothered to answer the phone earlier. Hope I haven’t got the chain of events wrong) here. Sounding a little sceptical I know. But really did enjoy the book couldn’t put it down. Good luck with the future books.

    1. Hi Matt, thanks for getting in touch, I’m delighted you enjoyed the book. I’ve written a blog post on my ‘paranormal page’ featuring lots of Q & A regarding our case. I’m sure you’ll find answers to your questions there.

  7. Hi Caroline – we ‘met’ over on Fay Keenan’s site the other week and I wanted to pop by and say Hello 🙂 Your story is extraordinary, I’ve had a few paranormal experiences myself but nothing like what you’ve endured – I haven’t even been able to bring myself to watch the videos as I think they’ll freak me out completely, so I don’t know how you got through it.

Also, I went and had a look a Bookouture as per your recommendation and they look like a very interesting company. I’m just putting a final polish on my latest manuscript so once it’s done I’ll be sending a submission to them – thanks so much for the link. xx

  12. Hi Caroline, I just finished reading your book Paranormal Intruder 🙂 I loved it, I couldn’t put it down and read it in less than 2 days! Thank you, it was a long time since I enjoyed a book that much! I felt compelled to message you because I could somewhat relate to your story. I grew up in a haunted house and while we were never personally attacked as such what became everyday normal life would be coming home from a day out to find the living room furniture rearranged, items being displaced, our rabbit being let out of his cage at night with every single cage door open, mysterious water puddles in the house, cats that would freak out at something in a corner, someone sitting down in the bed at night, voices, footsteps, sound of furniture dragging across floorboards, doors and cupboards opening/closing etc etc the list goes on. You are brave for writing a book! I find talking about my experiences very difficult because very rarely does anyone actually believe in my story. I just wanted to say thank you and all the best to you and your family 🙂
    Angelica x

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words Angelica. I love to get comments such as these, as it proves that we are not alone, things like this do happen, they are just not widely reported, for fear of ridicule. I hope you are well, and I’m so pleased that me sharing my experiences has helped you cope with yours.

  13. MS Mitchell

I just finished reading Don’t Turn Around, actually I finished it this morning about 4 AM, woke up early and couldn’t get back to sleep so I decided to read a few pages on my Kindle but couldn’t put it down and had to finish it right then. I really loved the book and the heroine, Jeniffer. Also the other great characters, even the paranormal entity. I am in the process of getting Time To Die later today.

Keep up the writing lady, you are a true Wordsmith!

    1. Thank you so much for getting in touch Tom, as a new author I live to hear from my readers! There’s no better compliment for an author than being told you kept them up turning the pages with your book. Thank you. And watch out for those ravens! I have a feeling you’ll like Time to Die 😉

  14. Caroline, I’ve read your book for the second time and still find it mind blowing. There is a part of me that’s looking for the hoax in all this but your story is just too authentic. It makes me want to go thru something like this just to see things from your perspective although I’m sure you probably wouldn’t recommend it. I have many questions but I’ll only bore you with one for now. Has anyone ever come to a conclusion as to who this specter might be? Is there a link with an actual person, alive or deceased?

    1. Hi Keith
I totally understand your initial reservations, I found it very hard to believe myself, when it all started. Unfortunately we’ve not been able to find any answers, and unlike the movies, these things aren’t always resolved. It’s still here, although thankfully not interfering in our lives like before. It can be nerve wracking at times, because you always wonder if it’s going to come back like before. I worry that we’ve burnt our bridges with the church by publishing our book, but we felt the truth had to be told, and I know from the hundreds of messages I’ve received, that many people have taken comfort knowing they are not alone. I do plan on writing an update in 2016, which will be free to subscribers of this site. Thanks again for reading the book, we really appreciate your support.

      1. Have you done any research into the actual property you live on? In the US this type of event happens quite frequently when people “invade” sacred places such as Native American burial sites. England is a lot older than the US so I imagine you guys have historical sites by the hundreds. Also, have your kids gotten used to this or does everyone still walk around looking over their shoulders?

  15. I’m currently re reading paranormal intruder, it’s a book I go back to time and again. I don’t doubt the fear your family must have gone through, and no one understands until they go through it. You question your own sanity, and your home no longer feels a safe place to be.

I hope things remain under control for you all. However, I do have a question for you 🙂 Page 39 of the book, Neil tells you that Lee actually saw the entity, but no where in the book does it describe what was seen, and I’m so curious to know.

Thanks for sharing your story…..trust me, I know it’s not the easiest thing to do in a situation like that.

  16. I’ve had many paranormal encounters myself, but that was when I was a little girl… Until we moved! Weirdest things happened in our house. I wanted to write about it, but just thought people will think I’m lying. I even had a friend of mine (he was 18 years old) running out of our house in front of our mutual friends… no guy likes to look like a petrified mouse in front of other men… Till this day he says he saw a woman on our staircase looking at us.
